Its limbs are powerful and tree-climbing adapted, ending in broad, padded feet that allow it to navigate both ground and arboreal habitats. The Elekala possesses a long, prehensile trunk that it uses for foraging and social interactions, while its back is covered in soft, dense fur resembling that of a koala, providing insulation and camouflage among eucalyptus trees.
